Bye Wadda, who is a coach with Arborfield Apaches FC is currently involved in a fantastic project to setup and provide football coaching and facilities for young people in The Gambia. Bye, who was is former Gambian international, is Coordinator of the Father Joseph Gough Sports Foundation which is working to develop sports, train trainers, train athletes, provide scholarships, foster community development and provide facilities to schools and communities for youth and sports development.
Something that the project desperately needs is football boots. I know many homes will have pairs of boots lying around that have been grown out of and are gathering dust. If you would like to help then please donate your old pairs of boots to this very worthwhile project.

A collection was made at the Whitegrove club picnic on the 27th June and the donantion was passed onto Bye shortly after (See picture below), if you where unable to attend on the day and have a donation, please call David Smith 07989 285369 to organise a collection. Bye is returning to Gambia around the middle of July, so all donations need to available/ made before then.
