Ascot United Royals 5 - 4 Whitegrove Sharks 12:00 AM Saturday, March 22, 2008 Report On an extremely cold Easter Saturday Sharks did not have a great start.  Ascot fairly quickly went 3 goals ahead.  Jack and Simon came on part way through the 1st half, with Jack having a chance at being striker with Ben H.  Within a few minutes, Jack had scored Sharks 1st goal, following a cross from Ben.  Jack and Ben worked well together up front, and Ben secured a 2nd goal following a feed from Jack.  Sharks were now in control of the game, and having more of the possession.  Opportunities were opening up all the time for Sharks, but it remained 3 - 2 at half time. Sharks continued to play very well, defending well, and with the mid-field creating many opportunties.  Eventually Sharks got their reward with Ben equalizing following a great shot after a surging run forward.  The score did remain equal at 3-3 for quite a time, but unfortunately towards the end of the game Ascot  put 2 more goals in the net, making the score 5 -3.  Sharks continued to battle and Ben H got his hat-trick making the final score 5-4.  A well fought game with an unfortunate score-line.
